The health ecosystem is transforming. Innovation rates in healthcare are growing dramatically. Better use of data across all participants and emerging technologies enable new business models with patients and their individual health outcomes in the center. The Life Sciences Leader Forum is pleased to host three exponents of pharma, health delivery and a technology startup, to present their perspectives and discuss how the healthcare market is changing and how companies will have to behave in the future. We invite you to participate in this important event together with our guest speakers.
Dr. Werner Kübler, CEO, Universitätsspital Basel
The University Hospital Basel is one of five university hospitals in Switzerland and, with more than 7’000 employees, the largest health center in region. Dr. Werner Kübler has been the CEO of the hospital since 2008 where he plays a key role in the development of the company. In his presentation, he discusses the hospital's strategic challenges related to digitization and developments in the health care system and how health care providers will need to behave in the future. Based on concrete examples he will show where the journey goes to and where the challenges are.
Dr. Luca A. Finelli, Head Predictive Analytics & Design, Novartis
Luca Finelli, PhD ETH Zurich, is creating digital engines fueled by data accelerating the business outcomes for Novartis global drug development. These digital capabilities support broadly clustering the space of digital playing fields at the intersection of the healthcare ecosystem and a Novartis’ drug development organization. Luca Finelli will talk about how data is improving the way we work, predicting and preventing events through broad use of data, closely aligned with patients to aim better business decisions as well as improving the efficiency in clinical trial and internal workflows.
Mo Tayeb, COO and Co-Founder, Medicalchain
Medicalchain is an organisation using blockchain technology to create products and services that enable patient-centric, borderless healthcare. Its mission is to empower patients to take greater control of their health by transforming how they communicate and connect with healthcare practitioners. Mo Tayeb (BSc, MBA), the COO of Medicalchain, will show us how health records can be digitized and patients can be empowered by this technology.
